One of the most exciting trips for a fabric lover is a visit to the Garment District in New York City. Especially because New York City’s Garment District is the heart of the fashion industry in the United States. Today the Garment District is home to dozens of stores that sell fabric, notions and trim. Many stores are open to retail shoppers. My visit included stops at more than a dozen retail fabric stores selling the highest quality fabric, notions and supples.
My visit to the Garment District includes the stores listed in the table below. However, if you can’t make the trip to the Garment District, many of the stores have websites and additionally some have online shopping so you can browse the store from your device. Finally, if you are planning a visit you can use the table to help you plan your journey. This information is intended to inform. It is based on my experiences and opinions.
